Dear Sandra,
I'm very sorry to read of the tragic loss of your beloved Howard, and I want to offer my deepest sympathy to you. Please accept my condolences with out taking offence, as I don't know you; but I just hope to share some comfort with you.
Acts 24:15 promise, "that there is going to be a resurrection.' Many tragic, unexpected deaths are due to what the Bible calls, "time and unforeseen occurrence that befall them all." - Ecclesiastes 9:11b
Our loving God doesn’t cause sad things to happen to our loved ones, as James 1:13 helps us to understand, ‘When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.’ For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.’”
Isaiah 65:17b tells us that the former things will not be called to mind, neither will they come up into the heart.” - Thus the heartbreak that we experience now, won’t even be remembered after Jehovah God resurrects our loved ones; thereby undoing the sad effects of death and the pain being separated from them brings.
Revelation 21:4 tells of the time when no one will ever die again; thus no more mourning or sadness, "And (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And no sickness of any kind as Isaiah 33:24 promises, “no resident will say: ‘I am sick.’”
And we have the promise of many who will be resurrected to life right here on the earth that will be restored to a paradise as Psalms 37:10, 11, 29 tell about!
Take care, and I hope that happy memories that you have will help you, and I hope these and other verses help too. Romans 15:4 tells us, "For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope."

Candles
Although I never seen or heard this man's music and only now stumbled across him through a website, I still feel as though I should pay my respects. I know I'm very late to this but I hope you're resting well and at peace. It's 2023 now and we all still love you and miss you, and wish you were here with us. Rest easy in the hands of the Lord my friend.

I remember you Howard, while listening to the song 'Times Like These' by the Foo Fighters. I am 3 years younger than you but still remember you playing this song once with a band at CIS during some lunchtime concert. I used to play basketball with you and your friends too. I pray you are in a better place my friend. Rest in peace.
